🍞 Manna for Meditation 44

Dear God’s beloved Praying Priests, shalom! 

💎 “This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” (Mat 6:9-12)

💎 “The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, ‘Abba,Father.’” (Rom 8:15)

💎 “Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honour and life.” (Pro 22:4)

The fourth key of prayers that Yeshua teaches the disciples is Sonship  – “Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts.” 

After finding our true identity in Messiah as the precious sons and daughters of God, we respond to Him with the revelation of God’s Name.  When we declare the abundance and glory of His Name, we are proclaiming His lordship.  The first three keys of the Lord’s Prayer,  Relationship, Worship and Lordship, all focus on God Himself.   From the fourth to sixth keys, Yeshua teaches us how to pray for our personal needs as the children of God. 

The forth key of prayers involved two basic needs which are food and forgiveness.  Being the children of God we do not need to beg.  We just need to give thanks to Him and praise Him for our daily bread (food) and our debts being forgiven (forgiveness)!

Lately there are two new Chinese terms describing the successful and rich second generation that rely on their fathers or relatives.  1.  Kao-ba-zhu（靠爸族,  literally :  rely daddy group）and  2. Fu-er-dai (富二代, literally: rich second generation).  Although these two terms considered pejorative, spiritually we actually are the “rely Abba daddy group” and “rich (Abba’s) second generation.”   (In Chinese, ‘rich’ and ‘father’ have the same sound.) Our Abba Father is delightful when we put our trust on Him 100%, because He has endless love, power, resources, wisdom, knowledge and grace!  He promised to pay riches, honour and life to those who fear Him with a humble heart! 

Let us joyfully proclaim that we spiritually are the “Ka-ba-zhu” and “Fu-er-dai.”   Praise God for His love, His provision and His forgiveness! Amen.
