🍞 Manna for Meditation 46

Dear God’s beloved Praying Priests, shalom!

💎 “This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” (Mat 6:9-13)

💎 “ They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” (Rev 12:11)

💎 “….God opposes the proud but shows favour to the humble. Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” (Jas 4:6-8)

The sixth key of prayers that Yeshua teaches the disciples is  Leadership – “Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.”

After finding our true identity in Messiah as the precious sons and daughters of God, we respond to Him with the revelation of God’s Name.  When we declare the abundance and glory of His Name, we are proclaiming His lordship.  As children of God, we can give thanks to Him and praise Him for our two basic needs, which are food and forgiveness.  After receiving complete forgiveness from God, we are filled by His love and empowered to forgive others. 

God’s people will encounter spiritual warfares in our lives, so Yeshua teaches us to pray and ask for God’s leading and protection.  A spiritual warfare is Satan and his servants’ attacks against God’s followers for opposing the eternal will of God. When facing a spiritual warfare, our three greatest enemies are Satan (the devil),  the world (incorrect value system) and our flesh (sin).  However, we thank God for giving us powerful weapons to confront the enemies and win victories. 

The Blood of the Lamb:  Yeshua is the Lamb of God.  His blood shed on the cross is powerful to deal with our sins. The Word of God:  Satan is a liar who is good at deceiving, accusing and enticing people by using plausible speeches and wrong value systems.  The Word of God is the Truth and it can deal with lies and the world. The Full Armour of God:  Our Abba Father gives His children the full armour of God including the belt of the truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the feet fitted with the readiness that comes form the gospel of shalom, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  Most importantly, pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests, and be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. (Eph 6:10-18). 

James 4:6-8 also reminds us that the enemies do not flee because we do not submit ourselves to God.  When in spiritual warfares, please remember to repent, come near to God and surrender all to Him first!   Do not be proud when you win the victory.  We need to be humble and rely on the grace of God to overcome the enemies each and every time.  Amen!
