🍞 Manna for Meditation 75

💞 Dear Royal Praying Priests, shalom!

💎 “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.  For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.  And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Rom 8:18-28)

Ever since the first outbreak of coronavirus in China, the above verses have been laying on our hearts by the Holy Spirit. The challenging times of pain globally are merely birth pangs. Not only the world, but also us, the Body of Messiah are feeling the birth pangs and longing for full deliverance. All of us are waiting to be released into the glorious times ahead, when there are no more bondages of decay, fear, anxiety, sorrow or pain. Therefore, our joyful expectancy should deepen. Even if we are weary in the time of waiting and do not know how or what to pray for, the Holy Spirit is right alongside teaching us to pray. He is praying in us and for us through wordless groans. We can be sure that everything that happens in our lives is worked into something good.

Recently a video entitled Could the World’s Darkest Hour Become the Church’s Finest Hour? has been circulated. When the megachurch buildings are empty and all events are cancelled, the Body of Messiah is awakened to express God’s love and share gospel in new ways! Praise God for all the exciting reports of people coming to Yeshua in Taiwan, Australia and Israel. Rise up dear Praying Priests! It’s time to share God’s love, hope and shalom as the harvest has been ripe. Utilise any social media, internet and tools even if we are “confined” at home.

🙏Dear Heavenly Father, we admit that in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, sometimes we do not know what and how to pray. Thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to help us. Open our eyes to see the opportunities and empower us to speak Your truth, hope and shalom. Please touch every heart that is yearning for Your glory and full deliverance in this darkest hour. We need You more than ever and we want to see Your glory. In Yeshua’s Name we pray, Amen!
