šŸž Manna for Meditation 77

šŸ’ž Dear Royal Praying Priests, shalom!

šŸ’Ž ā€œBlessed beĀ Adonai, because He has heard the sound of my supplications.ā€ (Psa 28:6, TLV)

šŸ’Ž ā€œThe inhabitants of one city will go to another saying ā€˜Let us go to entreat the favour ofĀ AdonaiĀ and to seekĀ Adonai-Tzvaā€™ot (the Lord of Hosts). I also am going.ā€™ Indeed, many peoples and powerful nations will come to seekĀ Adonai-Tzvaā€™otĀ in Jerusalem, and to entreat the favour ofĀ Adonai.ā€ (Zec 8:21-22, TLV)

šŸ’Ž ā€œThen I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication, when they will look toward Me whom they pierced.ā€ (Zec 12:10a, TLV)

The Hebrew word translated ā€œsupplicationā€ comes from a root word חÖøנַן (chanan) meaning favour, grace and mercy. When we make a request for help from God, we entreat the favour of God.

A supplication is an earnest and humble cry for Godā€™s favour, grace and mercy. It carries a sense of awe and adoration, and it is a respectful appeal to God. In our deep humility, we are conscious of our unworthiness before Him. However, having been justified by faith through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, we can be assured that God meets us at where we are by hearing our voice of supplications.

In Zechariah 12:10, God says that He will pour out the Spirit of Grace and Supplication, which is a title for the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Grace (Heb 10:29) and Supplication (Rom 8:26-27). When we do not know how to pray as we should, the Holy Spirit awakens us to the desire to pray and He inspires us to pray according to Godā€™s will. With the quickening help of the Holy Spirit, let us not only just pray, but also pray through! Amen!

šŸ™Dear Heavenly Father, we praise You! You are a gracious and merciful God, and You hear the sound of our supplications. Thank you for pouring out the Spirit of Grace and Supplication upon us. We cry out for Your grace earnestly and humbly on behalf of all nations during the COVID-19 crisis. O LORD, we pray for successful and fast developments of a vaccine. We ask that all people groups are kept safe and find refuge under Your wings. We pray that the global economy is protected by You from long-term damage. O LORD, we cry out to You. Please mobilise the Body of Messiah for reaching out to those who feel lonely or isolated in obedience and with boldness, so many people will look to Your beloved Son. In Yeshuaā€™s name we pray and bless You, Amen!
