đ Dear Royal Praying Priests, shalom!
đ âIs anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises (Jas 5:13, TLV)
đ âHeal me, Adonai, and I will be healed. Save me, and I will be saved. For You are my praise.â (Jer 17:14, TLV)
Recently we received many prayer requests from our Central Asian Ministry Partners as the number of COVID-19 infections continues to soar and many people are suffering, including the body of Messiah worldwide.Â
Afflictions naturally draw out complaints. However, according to James 5:13, the suffering should pray, and the cheerful should sing praises. In a day of suffering, nothing is more seasonal than prayer. Affliction offers an invitation for all of us to come and bow down before God in prayer. Times of suffering should be our praying times.Â
Here James has the same advice for both the suffering and the cheerful, which is taking it all to the Lord! Instead of making complaints to others, the suffering should pray to God. The cheerful should also sing psalms of praises to God!Â
Prayer and praise are vital in the Christian life, and in fact, the two commands of praying and praising can also be reversed. The suffering should pray and also sing praises; the cheerful should sing praises and also pray!Â
Today let us pray and sing for those who are greatly suffering with COVID-19.Â
Song: Heal Me O Lord Â
đ Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up those who are currently suffering with COVID-19 around the world in our prayers again. You are always open to hear the cries of Your children. Even all else has failed, You are our last hope! We pray that the sufferers will approach Your throne of grace for mercy by faith with earnest prayer and cheerful praises, for You are our ever-present help in times of need. Heal us, O LORD, and we will be healed. Save us, O LORD, and we will be saved. For You are our praise! In the name of Yeshua we pray and bless You, Amen.Â
