š Dear Royal Praying Priests, shalom!Ā Ā
š āI called to theĀ Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.ā (Psm 18:3)Ā
š āPraiseĀ Adonai, for He is good, for His lovingkindness endures forever.ā (Psm 136:1, TLV)
The root word of praise in Hebrew is ×Öø×Ö·× (Halal), which means to shine; hence to make a show and make a boast.Ā It also means to glory, to commend, to be made praiseworthy, to celebrate, and to act madly.Ā When we are in times of troubles, the psalmist instructs us to use the āweapon of praiseā for defeating Satan and all the powers of darkness.Ā
Last week we mentioned that according to Psalm 100, the password to enter Godās presence is thanksgiving and praises.Ā In addition, the Lord is enthroned on the praises of His people (Psm 22:3).Ā Therefore, in another word, offering sincere thanks and earnest praise is our direct line to the divine presence and the deliverance from our enemies.Ā
During the battle against three different armies, King Jehoshaphat was terrified.Ā After seeking Godās help and guidance, he appointed the choir marching ahead of the army, singing āHodu lāAdonai ki leolam chasdoā meaning Praise Adonai, for His lovingkindness endures forever. As soon as they started shouting and praising, God set ambushes against their enemies.Ā Even though the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir came to wage war against Godās people, they all ended up confused, mistakenly attacked each other, and were all killed (2Ch 20:20-30). Hallelujah and praise was the only weapon King Jehoshaphat and his army used!Ā Ā
Let us use the "weapon of praise" as our victory is definitely found in it!

Hodu LāAdonai Ki Tov (Psalm 136:1) in Hebrew, English and Chinese.Ā
š Dear Heavenly Father, we understand that praise is a weapon that is different from all other kinds.Ā The weapon of praise may seem unnatural but it is absolutely supernatural!Ā We will make a boast of You, we will glory You and take great pleasure in You, and we will celebrate you extravagantly even if we may sound crazy or act madly!Ā In the Name of Yeshua we pray and bless You, Amen.Ā
